Welcome aboard the USS Missouri!

Vis Ad Libertatem (Strength for Freedom)
"Missouri:" A name which has always been associated with the legendary Iowa class battleship of the United States Navy. Originally named after the US State of Missouri, the 20th Century battleship gained fame for being the site of the surrender of the Empire of Japan on September 2, 1945, ending Earth’s Second World War as well as being the last battleship in commission on Earth. In the 25th Century, however, the name Missouri has a very different meaning: Newly-launched with the latest and most advanced technology, the Federation Starship Missouri may not look like much, but there’s more to her than meets the eye: Among the host of improvements incorporated into the design of the Bellerophon class included the installation of a permanent Marine garrison and a Quantum Slipstream Drive, as well as a Federation first: A Klingon-based integrated cloaking device, implemented to test the waters of a recent amendment to the Treaty of Algeron maintained with the Romulan Star Empire. The Missouri is one of the Federation’s most advanced Bellerophon Class Light Explorers.
The ship is commanded by Captain Patricia Cooke; a young officer with strong lineage ties to the Missouri name. Patricia is the granddaughter of Major Francine Cooke, a Starfleet Marine and veteran of the Dominion War who served aboard the Excelsior class USS Missouri during that conflict, as well as the distant descendant of Fireman 1st Class Harry Francis Cooke, who served aboard the legendary Iowa class battleship during World War II, and was one of the 50 some odd Chicagoans who witnessed the Japanese surrender. Now, over 450 years later, Patricia is the third Cooke to serve aboard a Missouri, and the first Cooke to command one.
The Missouri is assigned wherever Starfleet needs it to go. One day it could be making first contact with a newly-discovered alien species, the next it could be on the other side of the quadrant investigating a years old cold case.
Welcome to the adventures of the Federation Starship Missouri: May you find us an interesting crew, where fun and exciting things lie in wait around every corner. While we cannot guarantee things to be “normal,” we can guarantee you a fun and interesting Star Trek experience whilst serving on the ship that carries the legendary name Missouri.
The USS Missouri is a Play-by-Nova Star Trek roleplaying game set in the year 2400. Our mission is to investigate the weird and wacky, from Rogue AI to years-old cold cases. We are currently serving in Theta Fleet under Area 51 and are under the command of Captain Patricia Cooke. Our content rating is "2/2/2" or "18+"

Hey, all you Missourians!
Just another quick update regarding the domain switch for our sim:
As mentioned back in march, we will be switching domains to missouri.harperhold.com. I now have an end date for when the sim-station.net domain will be retired:
If you have not done so already, please make sure you are using the harperhold.com link by November 19 to avoid service disruptions.
Thank you for your time!

Hey, all you Missourians!
This is your captain, Patricia Cooke, speaking: Here to inform you that we will be changing URLs, leaving behind the last URL carried by our predecessor sim.
Some research by fleet personnel has suggested that for some firewalls, a .net site is harder to reach than a .com site. As such, we will be migrating to a .com domain.
The USS Missouri can now be found at https://missouri.harperhold.com so please make sure you update your bookmarks. https://missouri.sim-station.net will still be available for now, but the migration will be formalized later this year, as the sim-station.net domain…

Mission: Ghost Starship
Posted on Thu Oct 30th, 2025 @ 11:55am by Lieutenant Commander Andrew Star & Captain Jacob Rye
Andrew had walked into the shuttlebay control room while the blue alert was sounding. His uniform was crisp and golden, a change of colour for the new kingdom he ruled. He watched as the shuttlecraft landed and was going to experience the merry-go-round of Department Chiefs. He'd passed the Bridge Officer test but the CO was planning something, XO was filing paperwork, and the 2XO was doing a stock check.
The child hopped down the ladder gracefully and approached the shuttlebay metallic door, which swished open, and the pilot exited with a PADD, his gift to Andrew. "Your docking &…

Previously, on Star Trek: Missouri:
Toran turned just enough to glance to her, the edge of a wry smile pulling at his lips. "I was told there would be fire. And protein."
Alice gave a soft, amused breath. "And I was told there would be a chance to connect with the crew. So here we are, heeding the call of duty and curiosity."
"I assume you're leaning toward the former?" Toran replied with a small, knowing smile. He hadn't known her all that long, but the Betazoid had gotten a read on her pretty quickly.
Alice tilted her head, her…

Captain's log, supplemental;
The months since our formal commissioning have seen us fall into a normal starship routine. A change that has most definitely been welcome, even if we still find ourselves light on senior staff.
In other news, Senior Chief Jinryo is supposed to return from her maternity leave, so to welcome her back, I'm holding a time-honored Starfleet tradition. One that should get the crew excited...
End of log.
Patricia had spoken with Charlie about an event she was planning to host in the shuttlebay- at first, the Lieutenant was confused on why Patricia wanted to hold it…

Mission: Ghost Starship
Posted on Tue Oct 21st, 2025 @ 6:56am by Captain Jacob Rye
The shuttle’s cabin vibrated with the low, constant hum of its engines — a sound that had become almost comforting over the years. Around Captain Jacob Rye, the air was thick with the usual energy of a personnel transfer: duffels stacked under benches, quiet chatter mixing with the occasional burst of nervous laughter. Someone was talking about the rumoured “steel beach” party the Missouri was throwing. They said it was to welcome the new arrivals, Rye doubted they were that important. A deckhand, maybe. Young. Too new to know that even celebrations in Starfleet carried a kind of tension —…

Mission: Ghost Starship
Posted on Mon Oct 20th, 2025 @ 8:00pm by Lieutenant Commander Andrew Star & Captain Patricia Cooke
Following the Missouri's formal commissioning, Patricia found herself in need of more senior staff. She had put out her open positions to Starfleet on what she needed to Starfleet Command: Operations, Medical, Intel...
But the situation in engineering gave Patricia pause: Commander Star had by far and away done an exceptional job as acting Chief Engineer, which had prompted Patricia to investigate his personnel file. That was when she had discovered that Star had more of an engineering background than a science one. To Patricia, the choice was obvious, but nonetheless, she had to go through the formalities to transfer…

Chief Counsellors Log Number One, Lieutenant JG Eradaar Ezazzan speaking.
It has been a week since I departed the USS Poseidon and left my mate, Lieutenant Lazarus Kord, behind. Whilst we have kept close contact with one another, I would be greatly remiss in stating anything other than a great sadness at our parting. Lazarus has been my rock and foundation since the very inceptions of our feelings for one another. I understand now a few things about us, about our situation and uniqueness.
Lazarus was an outcast in his own home. His situation I cannot state here openly, but…
